Lapland, Finland, offers the ultimate Arctic adventure for your bucket list in 2024. This winter wonderland offers a number of activities, from husky sledding, to snowmobile safaris, the chance to meet Santa Claus, as well as breathtaking untouched wilderness landscape.
Why visit in 2024? The Northern Lights are supposed to be at their absolute best in 2024 (and 2025). So imagine yourself cosying up inside a glass igloo with a hot chocolate while watching the spectacular colours dance across the sky above you.

November and December are great times to see the Northern Lights, and Santa Claus Village will be in full festive spirit during these months!
#2 | Vietnam
Vietnam is an enchanting country that should undoubtedly be on everyone’s bucket list in 2024. Why? It’s cheap! There’s no avoiding the current economic storm and ridiculously high interest rates that affected the vast majority of countries in 2023. But Vietnam is one destination that won’t hurt your back pocket quite as much as others on this list.
But affordable prices are not all Vietnam has to offer. With a rich history, vibrant culture, seriously fantastic food, and stunning landscapes, there are few reasons not to visit in 2024!
From the bustling streets of Hanoi, the serene landscape of Ha Long Bay’s emerald waters and limestone karsts, and the charming ancient town of Hoi An. Vietnam will captivate travellers from all walks of life.
Best Time to Visit Vietnam in 2024
The most favourable time to visit Vietnam is during the dry season, which varies across the country. In Northern Vietnam, October through April offers cooler, drier temperatures. Central Vietnam offers pleasant weather from February to August. While in the south, the dry season runs from November to April.
#3 | Paris, France
Paris is always a good idea, and in 2024, there’s an even better reason to visit. Yep, a trip to Paris is one of the hottest travel trends in 2024.
Why?
The City of Light is set to come alive as it prepares to host the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, adding an extra layer of excitement and energy to the city’s already charming atmosphere.
Paris has been busy cleaning up its streets as it prepares for millions of visitors to descend onto the Seine River banks and various locations around the city in July 2024.
The Olympic vibe is sure to hang-around throughout the year, so what better time to immerse yourself in the exuberant Parisian culture, explore iconic landmarks such as the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower, and indulge in exquisite Parisian bistros?
Best Time to Visit Paris in 2024
Late July and early August are the perfect time to visit Paris if you’re keen on experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of the Olympics when the city is alive with athletic competitions, cultural events, and a heightened sense of excitement.
